OM3
Multi-purpose vocal and instrument dynamic vocal microphone
The OM3 is a vocal dynamic microphone used for a wide variety of stage, home, and studio applications. This microphone has clear and accurate sound reproduction, resistance to feedback, and the ability to handle very high SPLs without distortion.
The OM3 dynamic vocal microphone utilizes a tight, uniform pattern which helps isolate vocals from the instruments on stage. With a wide frequency range of 50 Hz – 18 kHz, the OM3 employs a VLM™ diaphragm for a clear, precise sound with exceptional voice response.
Designed with slight bass proximity and a tailored mid-range, the OM3 hypercardioid microphone has a full-bodied sound on small to mid-sized PA systems while retaining true sound on large or professional PA systems.
Designed, assembled, and tested by Audix in the USA.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
The OM3 is a low impedance microphone and should be plugged into the ‘mic level’ input of your console, mixer or recording device. Please note that your microphone does not require phantom power and will not be affected in any way by phantom power should it be running simultaneously while the microphone is in operation. Avoid plugging or unplugging the microphone from the PA system unless the channel is muted or the volume of the system turned down. Failure to do so may result in a loud ‘popping’ noise which could seriously damage the speakers in the PA system.
The OM3 is manufactured to exacting specs with roadworthy construction. However, the capsule is highly sensitive and should be handled with care. Avoid extreme temperatures and be sure to store your microphone in the pouch provided when not in use. Moisture of any kind can adversely effect the sound and performance of your microphone.
USER TIPS
The OM3 has a very tight pick-up pattern in order to help eliminate sound from other instruments on stage from ‘bleeding’ into the microphone. For best results, it is important to sing directly into the mic at close proximity (within 2 inches). When using floor monitors, position the microphone so that it is parallel to the floor.
