Wunder Audio PEQTube Single Module

The Wunder Audio PEQTube is Wunder Audio’s reintroduction of the Western Electric tube mic preamp paired with a 2-band Switchable shelving EQ, Phase Switch, and High Pass Filter. Western Electric consoles were used at Capitol Record’s Studio for the most classic Frank Sinatra recordings, Motown's recording studio, Hitsville U.S.A, and Columbia Records.

The PEQTube is all discrete through-hole topology with large Mu-Metal input and output transformers. The PEQTube module can be powered in any Wunderbar console or any slot that will power a Neve 1073 as the rear connections and voltages are the same.

The PEQTube is also available in a 1U 19” rack unit.

PEQTube Features:

• Wunder Audio's own "NICO" Western Electric 618B style transformers (Nickle/Iron/Cobalt).
• High quality custom Grayhill gain and EQ switches with exceptional gold contact per switch position.
• Global EQ bypass button switches EQ totally out of circuit.
• Individual band bypass switch. When EQ is on, each band can be individually by-passed.
• Light pipe pushbuttons, as used in the Wunderbar Console.
• Discrete, active high pass filter.
• Phase switch.
• LED metering with Green signal indicator and Red clip light.
• 44 dB of gain.
