Ultra compact DSP subwoofer

This compact subwoofer is an ideal entry point into the professional audio world, with remarkable low-frequency performance and a host of DSP-enabled features for greater control and adaptability to any space. Designed as a complement to HEDD’s TYPE 05 and TYPE 07 2-way monitors, it can easily be included in any sat-sub system or as an enhancement to an audiophile home system.

Lineariser®

The heart of the MK2 range’s DSP, the HEDD Lineariser is a high-resolution, zero-phase filter designed to automatically eliminate time delays in order to improve resolution, separation, and imaging accuracy. Ideal for engineering and producing setups.

CoP: Closed or Ported

This HEDD innovation was designed to enhance the accuracy of HEDD’s AMT driver and allows all MK2 monitors to act as either a closed or ported cabinet with the use of a POM plug. These two monitoring systems give you different advantages depending on your space or needs: ported (open) lets you feel the music with more bass response while closed increases bass precision, texture resolution, and transient response.

Group Delay Compensation

To achieve true sound integration and system-wide phase linearity between the MK2 monitors and BASS subwoofers, HEDD created a tool that compensates for the longer group delay of the subwoofers. This removes standard problems such as smeariness and disorientation that are often inherent in the use of traditional subwoofers.
